Captain Mark Peart, owner/operator of Ultimate Offshore is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain and a lifelong resident of Louisiana. He has been fishing/diving Venice for over 20 years. He is also a member of one of the oldest dive/spearfishing clubs in Louisiana, the Helldivers. Captain Mark has been diving the oil rigs since 1992. That’s 15 years of diving experience. He knows where to find every species of fish and what time of year to find them.
Captain Mark’s boat is a “Diving Machine”. The “Cat-illac”, is a 32 foot Twin Vee, customized for diving. This boat is 12 ft wide with plenty of deck space and storage, so you are not crowded. The worst thing you want is to be crowded on a boat stepping over dive gear, tanks, guns etc. This won’t happen here!
He and a fellow Hell Diver, David Dauzat, was featured on the outdoor channel’s “Speargun Hunter”. They had 3 days of filming on the Cat-illac and had the priviledge to dive with a couple of the world’s best freedivers/spearfisherman-woman, Terry Maas and Sheri Daye. The show will be a 3 part series airing in October 2007 on the Outdoor Channel.
